Description
Chirasorb Plus braided is synthetic absorbable surgical suture composed of a copolymer made from 90 % glycolide and 10 % L-lactide. Braided Suture is covered with antibacterial coating, which consists of copolymer glycolide and lactide and calcum stearate and chlorhexidine diacetate.
It retains approximately 75 % of its original tensile strength at 2 weeks post implantation, with approximately 50 % remaining at three weeks. The absorption of sterile Chirasorb Plus braided is completed within 56 - 70 days.
